Dr. A. Raihana Barvin

The Man and His Curse

The feeding hands will poison the blood one day.

Cruel fate plays a vital role in the weakest mind.

As a toy in the hands of a necromancer,

He twists and twists the facts,

Sees hallucinated monsters in his bloods,

Finds fabricated thorns in every word and action,

As blinding his sight, tries to find the light,

Becomes a master in playing with sharpened tongue and old scars,

Tears his skin, needles his heart,

And calls everyone a sinner.

He might be a master or a sage,

But when the time runs to its point,

Surely he’ll become a fool,

And will see his bloods are as enemies.

A father and his children are no more.

After all, we are just humans,

The pathetic creatures have no control over even themselves.

Though they understand everyone’s inability,

Still, he is blind before his own emotions.

Blames everyone and becomes no one.
